The Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has said that the recent change of leadership in the Kebbi State House of Assembly is a democratic process.


"I am really happy that this is part of the democratic process where the majority of the members of the State Legislature have exercised their constitutional right to elect their new leaders.


"We hope the new leaders will have more goals, more cooperation, so that we can serve the people of Kebbi State," he said.


Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu made this known when he received the new Speaker of the House and other members during a courtesy call by the new Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Abubakar Lolo to the State Government House for a special meeting with Governor Abubakar Atiku. Bagudu is the new Speaker of the State House of Assembly for the first time.


He added: We commend the work of the former speaker and his deputy on the people and the state government.


"We will continue to work together to improve the lives of the people of the state," Bagudu told reporters at the State House after concluding his meeting with the new Speaker of the House of Assembly. and all its members. 


The new Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Muhammad Sani Abubakar Lolo, who led the members to the State House, commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his co-operation with the House to improve the lives of the people and provide democracy to the people.
